Software Engineer

We are currently developing state-of-the-art driving simulators, scenario authoring components and visual systems for the automotive and military industry and are seeking a Software Engineer to support these efforts.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop C++ and Javascript software under Linux and Windows to support various features and effects.
  • Develop SimCreator based simulation components.
  • Develop standalone applications and plugins.
  • Updating in-house visualization products to take advantage of differing Scene APIs.
  • Developing various support tools and scripting components.
  • Developing a cross-platform cross-API Shader connectivity and capability back end.
  • Maintaining a large body of scenario authoring, scene graph and simulation code.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates with a B.S. or M.S, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Candidates must be experienced in cross-platform C/C++ programming.
  • Candidates should be comfortable with OpenGL, extension programming, and usage.
  • Preferred candidates will be experienced in developing shaders (Cg, GLSL or Assembly).
  • Experience with C++ templates and GoF design patterns is desired.
  • Experience with game programming, simulation programming and/or real-time programming is desired.
  • Experience with AI programming or hardware in the loop simulation is desired.
  • Experience with Scene APIs is a plus; such as Performer, SGL, OSG, OpenSG, etc.
  • Experience with revision control systems (eg., CVS, SVN, Perforce, etc) a plus.
  • Experience working in distributed development environments a plus.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
