Arotech's Realtime Technologies Supports University Research With Desktop Simulator

Royal Oak, Michigan – May, 2015 -- Realtime Technologies, Inc. (RTI), a part of Arotech Corporation's (NasdaqGM: ARTX) Training and Simulation Division, announced today that it has delivered a desktop simulator to the University of Puerto Rico.

For RTI, its desktop simulator continues to be a realistic option for university researchers who need to perform transportation research. The University of Puerto Rico collaborates its research studies with institutions based in the U.S. and with this delivery they will be able to further those efforts.

When asked about the desktop simulator, RTI President Richard Romano said, "The University of Puerto Rico is part of the SAFER-SIM consortium focused on using and developing cutting-edge simulation tools. RTI has now supplied driving simulators to three of the five lead members of the consortium. We are happy to be involved in this activity."

Similar to the full cab simulators RTI produces, the desktop sim is also capable of running RTI's software products. For this delivery, Puerto Rico was receiving the standard lineup consisting of SimVista, SimCreator, and SimSimulator. This suite of products ensures that all the elements required to operate a simulated environment are accounted for.

With this delivery, the network of RTI simulators among universities expands. This network allows customers to share scenarios with considerable ease. The desktop simulator is a popular option since pilot studies are ran and then transferred to large sims for additional testing and evaluation.

Simulator Software

SimCreator® is a graphical, hierarchical, real time simulation and modeling system. With SimCreator you can rapidly develop distributed real time simulations, create graphical models that are as efficient as hand coded technologies, generate complex plant models using power flow-style modeling methods, and easily integrate external software APIs and user code.

SimVista™, RTI's tile-based scene and scenario authoring system, offers you the tools you need to create comprehensive simulation scenarios. The SimVista GUI allows you to drag and drop objects into your virtual world and bring them to life by scripting their behaviors. SimVista's exposed software architecture allows you to control nearly every aspect of the simulation at run time.
